I work in attics and was just thinking about a new headlamp, thanks for the heads up!
Hey bear, I hit the HF parking lot sale this weekend. Got the $400 Hercules planer for $280. But wait there’s more. I got the HF store card and got another 10% off bringing it to $252. But wait there’s more. I threw in an extra set of knives for it and some wheels to build a cart for it bringing me over 299 and got 6 months no interest. Thanks for the heads up. Keep up the good work!
Honestly, I think the planer might’ve been one of the best deals from that sale.
@ yea. Hopefully next time I can get the dust extractor. No stores around me had one in stock
Bear, when it comes down to things like safety glasses and gloves, I'm down with the PPE - yeah you know me!
Also, you didn't mention it but that HBTower step ladder also pays the support, 500 lbs, that would hold me AND the Christmas decorations going back onto the upper shelves. 👍 Though I need like one more step to reach so this won't be the model I get.
You know me!!!!!
Have fun in Vegas and at the show, Jeff.
It was a good run but you got me with those Bora sawhorses. Appreciate the heads up! Waiting few months covered my St Patty's dinner at Hooters and the tip. 👍
Welcome to Las Vegas. We’re pleased to have you here. Don’t forget to leave your money with our great city. We appreciate all of our visitors.
I’m more a part-time resident than a visitor 😁
@ I’m a full time resident and I really enjoy your channel.
I miss red the tool bear
With all the new AI stuff maybe Jeff will bring him back. My son used to like to watch with me back then. Guess it was a technical issue with his old computer.
Its a software license issue.@@krisyoung447
@@krisyoung447 Yes. It had to do with the software not being compatible on his new system, if I recall. And to upgrade it was financially not feasible.
$50 for a soap cannon is a good deal??? Is the container made from compressed egg shells? 😀
On that Skil multi tool, Craftsman had one years ago but there wasn't much interest in it so they discontinued it but there was 4 or 5 tools on it. I just can't remember what they all were.
I gave it to my brother-in-law about 10 years ago and he still has it
Generators work by rotating a coil of wire in a magnetic field, causing a current to flow in the wire. A generator may be a huge spinning turbine powered by water, wind, steam, gas, or nuclear reactions, which sends electricity out through power lines to thousands of customers. But normally when we use the word, we're thinking of a small machine powered by gasoline or diesel, such as you might keep in your basement for those times when a storm knocks out your power, to create electricity right in front of your eyes. A special kind of generator called an alternator powers a car's electrical system (including its lights, power steering, etc.) while the car is running.
Jeff, could you have Red do the intro to “Deals of the week” using a clip from the several year ago? I go back every once in a while just to see him. Enjoy your road trip!👍🏼
Any intel from Harbor Freights 10 days of deals that just came out?
You didn’t watch the video as he talked about it.
Around 24:08 he starts talking about it
@@diemman70yeah right, I skipped over it. My bad fellas.
@ Just don’t do it again or otherwise we’ll put a tariff on you.
@@diemman70too late. 😅
My local Costco is selling the silver Dewalt wet/dry vac for $50. I think that’s the one Project Farm rated as #1
I bought the step ladder. Needed one, so picked one up!
Definitely NOT a generator but whatever floats the Bears boat 😅
I really like the Stanley metel saw horses. I got them on sale at Home Depot a while back but they are really sturdy and fold up really nice and compact. The bora ones look nice but I can 3 Stanley’s for the same price.
I have the bora miter saw stand. It works pretty good. It’s a little sloppy in adjustment and I didn’t realize the wheel kit was not standard with it.
My 9'6" Class B didn't fit through my 10' garage door because the center arm of a regular opener hung down too far. If you need a side mount, you need a side mount.
FWIW, I have the EGO 670 CFM blower. I wouldn't get anything less. It does a good job of moving wet leaves and blowing snow off my car is what I use it for most. Recommended.
That deep chest freezer price is unreal. I was in the market a few months ago but was able to fix my existing by replacing the contactor. The cheapest I could find in 5.0cf was about $229. If you're in the market jump on this!
Most of those car care products are the same or cheaper at Walmart. Amazon isn’t always the best priced despite the “40%” off
The Skilsaw Worm Drive circular saw is my favorite too...wish I would have bought one years ago. I have the Skilsaw Worm Drive TRUHVL 48V cordless saw, and I have to say it holds itself right up there with the corded version.
oh no!!! cant unsee the McDonald fries.. sad because I live here in Vegas
With Amazon is selling the American made Ernst magnetic wrench holders for $21 in red, black, blue or high visibility (up to 40 wrenches), why would I by the Chinese knock-off for $26?
Wow, it's MONDAY already. OMG. Time Flies. Time to open up Amazon again.
No link for the chest freezer?
The Bear will be here all week ladies and gentlemen 😂
I’ve tried countless headlamps as I use them daily at work. The best I own BY FAR are Nitecore and Armytek. I really dislike this style unless working extremely close to your face
Just to follow up this style LED has a relatively short throw. Its fine for close detail work, but if you're walking and need light, there are better alternatives
For some unknown reason, every light seems to have a strobe mode, even the brushless ones.
I have this exact brand and they work just fine
'SPRING' BLACK FRIDAY.
Skil assembly drill down to $19?! 🤯
😂
30% off all corded gringer and polishers today.
There was/is a grocery chain in the Philly area named acme - always wondered who bit who’s style
Clean cut Jeff WOW
Thanks for doing these videos!
It's just a battery... The solar panel is the generator. Or perhaps the sun is the generator.
Did you just say, " That stripper was trying to work it way through college?" Bro ! Bro!! Broooo, slow down it's only on its first year. But it's definitely down with the OPP!!!!! You had me rolling almost spit out my food.
In my area I can’t tell you how many people were selling the 21” Eco Mower ($699) for about $100 on Facebook marketplace last fall. I’m not sure what the deal is with them but it makes me wonder.
Hi! Like the video! Is it true that lowes is discontinuous the skil line? In my store all the skil tools are on Clarence? Do you know what is going on? Thank you!
I'm not sure but I got a Skil 12v kit with 2 2ah batteries, drill, impact, oscillating multi-tool, light, Bluetooth speaker, a charger and I think a USB-C PD charger on clearance for $129.
It's a good light duty system that I use when I don't need my Milwaukee M18 stuff or I'm afraid a tool might walk away.
At that price it's a bargain even if you don't need the drill or impact. I just hope the light and speaker aren't stupid. I expect the multi-tool to be decent.
There’s been a lot of talk, but nothing that I would say was concrete information about it
Better buy your tools now once the tariffs kick in prices will zoom up. Most tools are built primarily in China or Mexico. From what I’ve read, US manufacturers are planning to pass the costs on to consumers.
Lookin' good there, jeff!
Is the skil assembly tool better than the Bosch? The Bosch seems to go on sale a lot. I want the best of the two
I don’t know if I think it’s better but the Bosh $12 is certainly more compact
Any chance of the DeWalt torque wrench set dropping to the mid $90's?
Step ladder pun... the tradition continues. YES!
My real "ladder" was worse than my step "ladder". 😀
@@krisyoung447 Exactly!
I'm down with OPE.
Lowe’s had that ego deal last week, didn’t need the 5ah so I returned that hacking the deal so the mower/7.5ah was $426
Do you ever cover HVAC units for detached garages? Trying to figure out the best unit to install. Thinking a Mr. Cool or similar mini/split.
We’ve talked mini splits a few times I even did a full video review on one
I came for the skil offest driver thing but $120 is to high to me I already have Milwaukee so id go with that if I needed it but Walmart hyper tough has the 90° and drill chuck but not the offset part but it's $35 but if either of these are interchangeable I'd be interested in picking up just that head for like $20,30 because with the hyper tough id still be in like $65
Hot tip(?) on Ego tools: throw away the large grey chargers - they have programming to disable your expensive batteries when the warranty is out. Smaller black chargers don’t have this issue!
EGO is JUNK
Ok thanks for the heads up
I'm looking at at new mower this year. Having such a hard time deciding. Greenworks?? Or spend the extra money on Ego mower. Grrrrr
It’s a hard choice, but if you’re gonna be buying other tools, the green work stuff just goes on sale more often
Naughty by nature. Down with OPP. Man that shows our age 😂😂
That in my knees, both tell how old I am
Hey bear!!! HFT makes a Hercules 14" 66T max 1800rpm saw blade for a metal cutting saw, a Hercules 12" 60T max 2000rpm saw blade for a metal cutting saw, yet they don't make a saw for either of these blades, will they make one? ASK DEEP FREIGHT!!!!
I’ve been asking them for one for years and my guess is one has to be coming down the pipe here shortly
I never cared until you brought up physics. Sorry Bear, a generator produces, these devices are storage.
They’re stored as potential and when released they “generate”.
@
Thats a stretch but ok
Ego pro tip. When Amazon has ego BOGO deals, so does lowes. Buy it from lowes, return the extra gift battery and BOOM , $115 back. It's essentially the same as the home depot "hack".
I thought Lowe’s had stopped doing that.
@denoftools nope.
@denoftools On the receipt, it shows as 2 separate purchases. Each at a discount and each returnable.
Bear, You ever get your paws on that Toughsystem 2.0 DXL ? Looks nice, but could get that Harbor freight box cheaper. Maybe win the lottery.
Oh, it’s really nice. It’s just really expensive as well.
You down with OPE? 😂
Yeah, you know me!!!
Anker is not a generator; it's a battery bank. It generates nothing, physics is not involved. Words have meanings.
Generates such just be using chemistry. You’re right words do you mean things just cause you don’t like it doesn’t mean it’s not true.
A "generator" generates nothing either if there is no fuel to do the work to convert motion to electricity.
A solar generator replaces the fuel with sunlight to produce the same kind of output as a conventional fuel generator.
There is still plenty of physics going on in the process even without coils and magnets.
The tools of den!!!
Are you in the Willard Whyte Suite?
Jeff you mentioned this in a recent video. I've been contemplating whether I should reply and I can't let it go. Knipex. How is it pronounced? Well I watched a video conference call published on knipex's channel between the president of knipex in Germany and the president of research and development of all of North America, I believe he was in Canada. They both said "Knipex" about a dozen times during this 20 minute video call. Now the president of Knipex, a German in Germany speaking English, said, "Knipex" with a soft K. OK it was subtle but you could hear it. It wasn't however a hard K, it was a soft K, very subtle. There's no doubt in my mind that he was saying it correctly the way a German would say it in German despite the fact he was speaking English. Here is the compelling part. The president of R & D in North America said Knipex with a silent K. Clearly he was saying Nipex. There is no doubt in my mind that he was saying the word in English the way a person would say it speaking English. Do you think that they would publish this video conference call between the top two officials of all of Knipex if one of them was saying the name incorrectly? It's preposterous.
Now I've seen the videos where the guys go up to the Knipex booth at some tool trade show and point blank ask the girl working the booth, "How do you pronounce Knipex, is it Nipex or Ka-nipex?" and the girl says "it's Ka-nipex." And the guys say, "Well there you go it's settled once and for all it's Ka-nipex." Wrong! (said like Charlie Murphy) Who am I going to believe? The president of R & D for all of North America or some chick at a trade show? I think the answer is obvious. If I'm in Germany I'm going to say Nipex. They're going to realize I'm an American speaking English and they're going to realize that and cut me some slack, knowing I'm saying it properly. However you choose to say it is going to be acceptable. I would point out that you are using too hard of a K in any language. But when you state on the record "It's Ka-nipex. It's been settled, so I don't want to hear blah blah blah..." you just sound foolish cause that ain't the case. It's Nipex in our hemisphere. It's no different than Ka-nudsen or Ga-narley. Saying Ka-nipex just makes you sound kinda like an ignoramus fool that bought into the hype generated from some hot chick in a tool booth that doesn't really know Jack.
They literally sell her shirt with the pronunciation on it. They also have videos with the pronunciation on it like this is how it’s pronounced videos and it’s always ka-nee-pex in German it’s very quickly said, and it’s almost just two syllables. They just slide the ka in there.
@@denoftools I haven't seen the video you're speaking of. I do find you to be an honest an extremely honorable man but at this moment I can only go by the video I've seen with the two top executives of all of Knipex. I don't really believe I need to see more than that. Also anyone can make or sell a T-shirt and make a truck load of cash. I can';t think of a better topic to cash in on. Including Knipex. Technically in German it is Ka-nipex , a very subtle Ka-nipex. All that being said if you live in North America and speak English its Nipex. Thats unequivocal. I'm going to find the video and send you the link.
It's not a genarator. The solar panels or the power company is the genarator. It's a battery with a inverter. Prove me wrong.
The battery uses chemistry to generate electricity. I’ve actually talked to several engineers who build these, and they all concur they are technically generators.
Then a gasoline "generator" isn't a generator either, because you could just as easily view the dinosaur/refinery combo as the generator, and the gasoline generator as "just an engine with an alternator/inverter/whatever". The dino and refinery are what created the fuel with the energy ready to be released by starting a chemical reaction with oxygen. The exact same dinosaur and refinery might have created the fuel used in a power plant to create electricity to charge the power station.
OOOHHHH, I forgot something that you understand and I don't. A generator has to be a mechanical device which spins. Silly me, I was only a turbomachinery engineer, what would I know about things which spin?
You could even run a gasoline generator to charge up the battery generator. Or you could use either to distill ethanol to run yet another generator. It's just shuffling around how the energy is stored. Nothing magical about gasoline being a liquid which you think disappears after you burn it in an engine. It doesn't disappear, the combustion products just go into the air. You could even gather them up, work some chemical magic on them, and create liquid fuel again from them. Just like the battery can have some electrochemical magic worked on it, to become recharged.
At a more detailed level, things happen in the real world at a physical, chemical, or nuclear level. What names we give those processes, or the devices which perform those processes, don't really do justice to what's going on. In the end, Shakespeare was right about "What's in a name?"
One of my physics professors in college was C.C. Ting. One of my math professors was Daniel Quillen. There weren't even names for some of the stuff they figured out, so they made names up, and those still don't do justice to what's really going on.
I hope day 10 at harbor freight is the badlands jack?
Bear, I need a 30” pedestal fan. I saw HF has it for $159. Have you ever seen it go on sale?
Very rarely do you receive a coupon specifically for that your best bet is looking for a 20% off anything in store sale
@ will do. It is a good price at $159, but I will definitely look for the 20% coupon. I’m sure one will pop up soon. Thank you
Hey Jeff Bear! You haven't shared your knowledge of the 10 Days of Deals going on right now. Did Deep Freight not get the intel?
It’s literally in this video
@@denoftools Well ain't I embarrassed? Sorry. I don't know how I missed it. I did jump through it, looking for HF pictures and didn't see any. I'll look again. I was referring to each individual day's sale. Thank you!
Hey - how about Harbor Freight’s 10 days of sale???
I literally discussed it in this video
I just want to know where your inside guy was for this sale? Why not the usual 2 weeks heads up?
Hey where’s the hat😅
The hat didn’t make the trip sadly
oooohhhhh... French fries.... mmmmm.
Channeling your inner Homer Simpson? 😂
Love that leaked stuff hah
Place a bet on red 4 me , at the roulette wheel ..Vegas , women, gambling, booze, 😂 Jeff is part of the RAT PACK Ya baby. ! ! ! ; tell the wife you are busy working LOL LOL… & now a word about tools . …Amazing what ten your olds in China make for us .
Are you down with OPE?
Yeah, you know me! So hip hop hurray ho hey ho!!! Good times 😅
I bought the headlamp from temu for much less and it's much better.
