I'm sure the fish wont mind keeping their guts just a little while longer. For Kuveli, there are more pressing things to be done than chores, after all.
Beautiful commission I got recently from the immensely talented
TheCheesen, gifting us with some much needed shenanigans of the little man. Thanks to his older brother, Sakara - and just a tiny bit of endless crowing and pestering - he's amassed quite the little collection since his poorly planned practical joke. Before long he'll surely have a whole tribe and forest's worth of carved figures to call his own.
While I haven't had the energy to do much writing, thanks to work, I do want to indulge in a little non-story word soup.
Though they live 12,000 years ago, in a world still slightly colder and infinitely more wild than our own, Kuveli's tribe the Lentavohi - as all of the tribes - are far from the grim tales of beastly, inhuman ancestors living in times long lost from memory. They are people just as us, seeking meaning and happiness in their lives, even when times of plenty give way to times of hardship. In fact, it is in those harsh times that making someone smile or laugh can make all the difference, and help to keep these tightly-knit communities out of the darkness. So while some may grumble at Kuveli's apparent shyness towards doing his chores, it's hard to deny that his joy - and all those strange little stories he comes up with - doesn't spread and lift everyone's spirits.
After all, what are all these monotonous chores for, if not to build happy, hopeful lives for each other?
Now, I will spare you my waffling. Go show

Look, we all have embarrassing childhood stories of trying to sneak sweets out of the kitchen. But in all seriousness, that figure of himself goes everywhere with him to begin with. The rest, well, he has bags and pouches he can hide them in. Maybe even in that basket if he doesn't mind the smell.
If it’s anything like his skill working with bone, then there’s definitely room for improvement.
Still, skilled or not, he’s still a loved member of his tribe. And his brother is too soft and doting to get angry about the slacking off.
